Abstract

Against the backdrop of high-quality agricultural development and the "Dual Carbon" strategy, the traditional extensive agricultural model faces challenges such as tightening resource constraints, prominent ecological pollution, and low production efficiency; therefore, there is an urgent need to leverage new drivers to promote the green transformation of agriculture. New quality productivity, as the core driving force behind agricultural modernization, exhibits a close intrinsic relationship and bidirectional interaction with the green total factor productivity in agriculture. This paper takes the bidirectional interaction mechanism between these two concepts as its central research focus, employing literature review, theoretical deduction, and normative analysis methods to define key concepts and establish the theoretical foundation; it systematically delineates the positive transmission pathway through which new quality productivity empowers green total factor productivity in agriculture, as well as the cyclical mechanism through which green efficiency drives the iterative upgrading of new quality productivity in agriculture; furthermore, it analyzes the moderating constraints and nonlinear threshold characteristics inherent in their interaction. By integrating insights from current development status, coupling characteristics, and existing practical shortcomings, this study proposes differentiated optimization pathways and safeguarding strategies. The findings indicate that these two dimensions can form a virtuous synergistic pattern; however, several issues persist, including insufficient technological empowerment, misallocation of production factors, regional imbalances, and weak safeguarding systems. This study further enriches the theoretical framework for green agricultural development, providing both theoretical references and practical guidance for cultivating new quality productivity in agriculture and advancing high-quality green agricultural development.
