The dilemma of career education for rural primary and secondary students attribute to the long-term huge gap of educational resources between urban and rural areas in China. To address this issue, this study uses Waduo Township in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province as the empirical research area, employing the grounded theory research method to construct a model of influencing factors for career education among rural primary and secondary students. The study finds that career education for rural primary and secondary school students is influenced by four main categories: family factors as the fundamental cause, school factors as the direct cause, student factors as the resulting effect, and social factors as a cumulative influence; among these, the lack and insufficient transformation of family cultural capital is the core mechanism that restricts rural students' career awareness and planning.
