Teaching is a job that requires a lot of emotional labor, and as teachers are generally emotional laborers, their emotional states are not only a byproduct of teaching; rather, they are a part of the entire process of professional development. As they move from being students to teachers, novice international Chinese language teachers must put in a lot of emotional labor that might lead to burnout and psychological tiredness, which can hinder their professional development. This study uses Novice International Chinese Language Teachers as its research subject in order to identify the variables influencing their emotional labor, assist them in making the most of their professional development path's coping mechanisms, and ultimately help them finish the positive emotional labor.
