Abstract

Green innovation is the core force driving the green and low-carbon development of industry, and its efficiency performance is related to the success or failure of enterprise transformation. Based on the data of 40 industry segments in China, a three stage DEA model is used to analyze the industry differentiation characteristics and driving factors of green innovation efficiency in China's industry. The results show that the overall efficiency of green innovation in China's industry is 0.519, with nearly 50% room for improvement. The efficiency loss is mainly attributed to the low pure technical efficiency. The efficiency of the industry is characterized by unbalanced development, with the efficiency of the hydropower supply industry performing better, while the efficiency of the mining industry performing worst; Resource and labor intensive industries are "depressions" of industrial efficiency, while capital intensive industries have better efficiency. The analysis of influencing factors shows that the overall external environment promotes industry efficiency, and the lack of internal management is the key reason for restricting efficiency improvement. Further research has found that the former can adjust the degree of nationalization and increase policy support to improve innovation efficiency, while the latter mainly restricts the exertion of innovation scale effects.
