Abstract

Against the backdrop of deepening integration between the digital economy and experience economy, brand digitalization has transcended the mere application of technological tools and evolved into a systemic ecological reconstruction centered on narrative, anchored in culture, and driven by emotion. As a benchmark enterprise in the global entertainment industry, Disney, leveraging nearly a century of IP accumulation and diversified business portfolio, adopts transmedia storytelling as its core strategy. Through the synergistic coordination of film and television content, theme parks, streaming platforms, and consumer goods e-commerce, Disney integrates global IP with local urban cultures, deeply binds user emotions, and constructs a closed-loop digital ecosystem of "content—experience—consumption—communication." Taking Disney as the research subject and drawing upon transmedia storytelling theory, this paper systematically examines its brand development trajectory, digital strategy, transmedia narrative mechanisms, pathways of urban cultural integration, and logics of user emotional bonding. It explores how Disney achieves long-term IP monetization and sustained brand value enhancement through multi-platform synergy, online-offline integration, and data-driven operations. The study finds that Disney's digital transformation is essentially an interwoven transmedia network of story, culture, and emotion, which may offer theoretical references and practical insights for the digital transformation of local entertainment brands, e-commerce enterprises, and cultural tourism projects.
