This paper focuses on the development of electrical automation under the background of new engineering, and discusses its reform path in terms of curriculum system, teaching methods and interdisciplinary integration. Through theoretical analysis and empirical research, the current achievements of this major in curriculum optimization and practical teaching are revealed, and the problems of insufficient teachers and scattered resources are also pointed out. Research puts forward countermeasures such as strengthening school-enterprise cooperation and optimizing curriculum structure to improve students' innovation ability and comprehensive quality. The conclusion is that the construction of new engineering provides development opportunities for electrical automation, but it is necessary to continue to promote the integration of teaching reform and technology.
