Abstract

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), AI-assisted feedback has gradually become an emerging approach in English writing instruction. In senior high school English education, writing feedback plays an important role in helping students identify problems, revise texts, and improve their writing competence. Compared with traditional teacher feedback, AI-assisted feedback provides learners with immediate responses through automated text analysis and offers new possibilities for improving feedback efficiency. However, writing is a complex process involving not only language accuracy but also content development, discourse organization, and effective communication. Therefore, the role of AI-assisted feedback in writing instruction requires further exploration. This paper discusses the mechanisms, advantages, and challenges of AI-assisted feedback in senior high school English writing.
