From the perspective of university teachers, this study elaborates on the connotation and constituent elements of digital competence, dissects the predicaments confronted by university teachers in digital capacity development, examines the correlation between teachers' digital competence and teaching effectiveness, and explores approaches to further enhance digital competence in teaching practice. The research is intended to provide scientific strategies for improving teachers' digital competence and thereby elevate the quality of education and teaching.
